We are situated in the Seola Gardens development of the White Center neighborhood. Originally known as the Park Lake Homes II public housing complex, the community was redeveloped in 2010 and we opened the doors of Providence Joseph House in the fall of 2012.

One of the perks of Seola Gardens is its pedestrian-friendly design. There are a lot of walking paths, sidewalks and stairways to connect residents with services inside our immediate area and also to provide easy access to places outside of the community.

The Seola Gardens Community Center is right next door to Providence Joseph House and it includes a YWCA Technology Center where you can use computers and access the Internet. Neighborhood House is also right next to us, offering activities for seniors and after school programming.

When you want to get some fresh air, we are just a 5-minute walk away from Lakewood Park. The park has tennis courts, a disc golf course, walking paths, lots of grassy areas for picnics and Frisbee games and you can go swimming in Hicks Lake.

Getting around town is easy when you live here. Providence Joseph House is one block away from King County Metro’s 128 bus route which provides easy access to downtown Seattle, West Seattle and Southcenter.

For grocery needs, you’ll find an Albertson’s and a Marketplace grocery store within two miles. We are also less than one mile away from the White Center Food Bank and their mobile food bank truck delivers food items to Providence Joseph House every other week.

Highline Medical Center, Neighborcare Health clinics and a pharmacy are all just a few miles away to meet your health and wellness needs. The White Center Library is about one mile away and the King County Library System Mobile Bookmobile makes monthly visits to our building. In addition, we aren’t far from a U.S. Post Office, a Social Security Office and places of worship.
